Event Co-ordinator Great Volunteer Work Experience Opportunity Solar Spirit TAFE SA initiative

A unique opportunity has arisen for volunteer event co-ordinators to gain 1 month and up to 3 months work experience with sponsors for the Solar Spirit TAFE SA entry to 2009 World Solar Challenge.

Showcase your event management talents worldwide and work with leading marketers, businesses and TAFE SA to generate sponsorship dollars and participation in the Solar Spirit website and events. You will get international recognition for your event management work skills achievements and as a volunteer help to support the vital solar electric research for commercially viable vehicles using renewable energy.

Solar Spirit of TAFE SA is working with WallCann to create sponsor websites for the 2009 World Solar Challenge Darwin to Adelaide. Web Sites will contain sponsor promotions content, special events and other public relations activities.  The high profile website will attract worldwide traffic and will activity will continue to grow up to the 2011 Solar Challenge.

Subsequent to your event coordination work experience program, future employment for successful candidates with WallCann the leading South Australian online marketing solutions company is a strong possibility.

Details of specific Solar Spirit sponsor projects will be emailed to selected event coordinators.

Opportunities include:

  • Coordinate sponsor and media events, including liaising with clients, event planning, liaising with caterers, equipment hire companies and various service providers, preparing quotes and documentation for events and venue hires and ensuring prompt billing and acquittal.
  • Identifying new sponsorship opportunities, developing and growing new and existing sponsor relationships and developing evaluation mechanisms that monitor client expectations and service delivery; achieving agreed income targets for venue hire; contributing to strategic planning
  • Supervising a small team, including rostering and managing workloads.
  • Maintaining appropriate administrative systems and records to enable the provision of reports and information as required by Solar Spirit.
  • Being accountable for effective supervision including on-the-job safety training, the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures and the conduct of safe work practices.

Conditions:

Location of main marketing office: Richmond. Adelaide.
As a volunteer work experience position hours will be flexible to suit your schedule.

Reporting to Managing Director WallCann.

Web Designers - Great Volunteer Work Experience Opportunity Solar Spirit - TAFE SA

Want to get 1 to 3 months work experience in world leading Web design and online marketing strategy? Get international exposure for your work, as a volunteer helping with the vital development of commercially viable solar electric vehicle.

Solar Spirit of TAFE SA is working with WallCann to create Solar Spirit sponsor websites for the 2009 World Solar Challenge Darwin to Adelaide.

As part of fostering creativity and innovation web designers are invited to showcase your talents by providing design for the Solar Spirit web presence.

Accepted designs will have a link to designer’s own site and be included in Sponsors section appropriate to the level of contribution.

The high profile web marketing will attract worldwide traffic and will continue to be expanded leading into the 2011 Solar Challenge.

Designer sponsor links will be maintained for the 2009 and 2011 Solar Challenge events.
